Sunshine and her friend were excited to visit a new restaurant. They walked together, Sunshine guiding the way.

Sunshine is sitting next to the door with a confused and sad look while a sign reads No dogs allowed.

At the restaurant door, a sign read, ‘No dogs allowed.’ Sunshine felt sad and confused.

Sunshine and her friend stand outside the restaurant as the waiter blocks the entrance saying no.

Sunshine’s friend said, ‘Sunshine is my guide dog. She helps me see the world.’ But a waiter shook his head no.

Feeling disappointed, Sunshine and her friend sat outside. Sunshine wondered if she was still important.

Just then, a child approached. ‘Can I pet your service dog?’ she asked. Sunshine’s tail wagged happily.

The child said, ‘Sunshine, you’re special! You help people see the world. That’s amazing!’ Sunshine felt proud.

Sunshine laying quietly and peacefully on the rug of her living room; she looks ready for sleep and another day tomorrow.

Sunshine learned that even on cloudy days, she has sacred meaning. ‘I accept my significance,’ she thought. ‘I set myself free.’
